Ainsley Burns of Mason High School has etched her name into Texas history, becoming the first player ever to win four consecutive UIL state golf titles. The senior sensation capped off her incredible high school career on Tuesday with a dominant performance in Austin, leading the Cowgirls to their fifth straight Class 2A team championship.

Burns carded a stellar two-round total of 142 (76-66), finishing four strokes ahead of Cisco's Jakelee Woods. Her final round of 66 wasn't just the lowest score of the tournament—it's also a new school record for Mason. That kind of clutch performance under pressure is exactly what separates champions from contenders.

The Cowgirls were equally impressive as a team, posting rounds of 341 and 306 for a combined 647. That was more than enough to leave second-place Spearman in the dust by a staggering 55 strokes. It's a testament to the program's consistency and depth, built under the guidance of head coach Kade Burns—who also happens to be Ainsley's father.

Next up for Burns is a move to the college ranks. She has signed to play for Angelo State University, where she'll look to continue her winning ways. For now, though, she can savor a historic run that has defined her high school years and inspired young golfers across the state.

Stay tuned as we catch up with the Cowgirls later this week for more on their remarkable achievement.
