Five-star edge rusher Landen Wade, a standout in the 2028 class, will be in Seattle for an unofficial visit—a major win for head coach Jedd Fisch and his staff as they continue to build for the long haul.
Standing at an impressive 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, Wade comes from Basha High School in Arizona, where he's already established himself as the No. 2 player in the state's 2028 class, trailing only fellow five-star edge rusher Jalanie George. The Huskies extended an offer to Wade in mid-April and wasted no time getting him on campus, signaling their intent to keep a strong pipeline flowing from the talent-rich Grand Canyon State.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Wade is ranked as the No. 20 overall prospect and the No. 7 edge rusher in the nation. With 20 offers already on the table—including heavyweights like Arizona, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Texas A&M—this visit is a critical opportunity for defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi to build a lasting relationship with the coveted pass rusher.
On the field, Wade's sophomore season was nothing short of dominant. In just eight games, he racked up 24 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 11 quarterback hurries. His film shows all the tools of a future impact defensive lineman at the college level: explosive first steps, relentless pursuit, and a knack for disrupting plays behind the line of scrimmage.
Interestingly, while Wade is currently listed as an edge rusher, his frame suggests he could eventually grow into an interior defensive lineman.
