Michigan football's 2027 recruiting class jumps to No. 13 in 247Sports rankings after Tyson Robinson's commitment.

The Michigan Wolverines are making serious noise on the recruiting trail, and their 2027 class just got a whole lot stronger. After climbing from No. 29 to No. 17 earlier this week following wide receiver Quentin Burrell's commitment, the maize and blue have now surged to No. 13 in the 247Sports team rankings—and they're eyeing the top 10.

The latest boost comes from four-star running back Tyson Robinson, who announced his pledge to Michigan on Saturday afternoon. Hailing from Jackson (Miss.) Brandon, Robinson's commitment vaulted the Wolverines past Big Ten rivals Wisconsin and Minnesota, as well as national programs like Texas and Washington. With 11 commits now on board, Michigan sits just behind Texas Tech, Kentucky, and No. 10 Ohio State—who also has 11 pledges. According to 247Sports, the class features eight four-star prospects and three three-star standouts.

Over at Rivals, the Wolverines also made a leap, moving from No. 13 to No. 12 after surpassing the Longhorns. UCLA holds at No. 11, while LSU (10th), Oregon (9th), and Ohio State (8th) round out the top 10 ahead of Michigan. Rivals counts seven four-stars and four three-stars in the class.

Here's a closer look at the full list of commits, ranked by the Rivals Industry Ranking:

• Quentin Burrell, four-star WR, Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel — No. 85 overall
• Xavier Muhammad, four-star DL, Houston (Tx.) South — No. 102 overall
• Jakari Lipsey, four-star OT, Kalamazoo (Mich.) Loy Norrix — No. 104 overall
• Kamden Lopati, four-star QB, Salt Lake City (Utah) West — No. 119 overall
• Recarder Kitchen, four-star EDGE, Muskegon (Mich.) — No. 134 overall
• Tyson Robinson, four-star RB, Jackson (Miss.) Brandon — No. 212 overall
• Jayce Brewer, four-star EDGE, Indianapolis (Ind.) — No. 361 overall
• Sidney Rouleau, three-star IOL, Gatineau (Quebec) Brook Hill — No. 424 overall
• Louis Esposito, three-star IOL, Saline (Mich.) — No. 601 overall
• Charles Woodson Jr., three-star S, Orlando (Fla.) Lake Nona — No. 617 overall
• Maxwell Miles, three-star S, Las Vegas (Nev.) Centennial — No. 805 overall

With Robinson now in the fold, Michigan's recruiting momentum is undeniable. The Wolverines are stacking talent across the board—from explosive skill players to trench warriors—and this class is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent memory. For fans and future gear collectors alike, this is a team worth watching closely.
