Former Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Nyland Green is taking a shot at his NFL dream, trying out with the Atlanta Falcons at this weekend's rookie minicamp. After going undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, the four-star recruit didn't land a free-agent deal right away—but now he's got a chance to prove himself in front of the Falcons' coaching staff.

Green's college journey was anything but a straight line. He started at Georgia from 2021 to 2023, then transferred to Purdue for the 2024 season. That year turned out to be his most productive: 23 tackles, five pass deflections, two sacks, and a forced fumble. He finished his college career at Arizona State in 2025, where he added 10 tackles and three pass deflections. Interestingly, Green never recorded an interception in college—but his athleticism and versatility have kept NFL scouts interested.

The Falcons' rookie camp is packed with competition, including several other players with Georgia ties. Among those trying out are Georgia Tech products Malik Rutherford, Omar Daniels, Clayton Lee, and J.T. Bryne. For Green, this is a chance to show he belongs in the league, even if the path has been a winding one.

Stay tuned to see if this former Bulldog can turn a tryout into a roster spot.
