In a draft class that didn't see a single Wisconsin Badger selected, undrafted free agent Mason Reiger is quietly emerging as a name to watch in the NFL. The 6-foot-5 EDGE rusher may have slipped through the cracks, but the Miami Dolphins are betting on his potential to make an impact.
While the Badgers' program has faced challenges over the past two seasons, Reiger made a strong impression after arriving in 2025. Now, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox believes the former Wisconsin standout has a legitimate shot at carving out a role in Miami's defensive rotation.
"The Dolphins needed edge-defender help in a big way after trading Jaelan Phillips and cutting Bradley Chubb," Knox wrote. "While they signed the likes of Josh Uche and David Ojabo before using a fourth-round pick on Trey Moore, they might find room for Reiger in the rotation."
Knox added that while Reiger may not yet have the polish or play strength to be an every-down edge-setter early in his career, he could "carve out a rotational role in Miami's even front."
Reiger isn't the only former Badger generating buzz. On the offensive side, wide receiver Vinny Anthony II is trending toward making the Atlanta Falcons roster. For fans of Wisconsin football and NFL hopefuls, these undrafted gems prove that talent can still shine through the cracks.
