The Colorado Eagles beat the Henderson Silver Knights 6-2 to advance to the Pacific Division Finals

The Colorado Eagles have punched their ticket to the Pacific Division Finals after a commanding 6-2 victory over the Henderson Silver Knights in a game that showcased their resilience and defensive prowess.

The Silver Knights came out firing, with Jackson Hallum lighting the lamp just 2:21 into the first period. Colorado responded with a 4-0 shooting run over the next four and a half minutes, but couldn't find the back of the net. The breakthrough came late in the period when forward Gavin Brindley capitalized on a power play with just four seconds left in the man-advantage, scoring at the 15:19 mark to tie the game 1-1.

But Henderson struck back quickly—Ben Hemmerling scored from the high slot just 51 seconds later. Colorado goalie Trent Miner argued goaltender interference, but the goal stood after a brief review. Undeterred, the Eagles tied it up again with just 64 seconds remaining in the period, as Tristen Nielsen deflected a pass from Keaton Middleton into the net.

The second period belonged entirely to Colorado. The Eagles played flawless two-way hockey, limiting Henderson to just two shots while firing 15 at Silver Knights goaltender and AHL All-Star Carl Lindbom. The relentless pressure paid off when forward Chase Bradley netted the game-winning goal.

In the third period, Henderson initially held strong, killing off an early Colorado power play. But the Silver Knights' penalty kill finally cracked—with just nine seconds left on the man-advantage, forward Alex Barre-Boulet punched in an insurance goal at the 4:20 mark, putting the Eagles up 4-2. Over the final 11:38, Colorado's defense clamped down, allowing Henderson just three shots and crushing any comeback hopes. Two empty-net goals sealed the deal, sending the Eagles to the Pacific Division Finals.

Miner finished with 18 saves on 20 shots for a .900 save percentage, while Lindbom made 32 saves on 36 shots (.889).
