The Badgers are getting bigger in the transfer portal.

The Wisconsin Badgers have just made a major move in the transfer portal, and they've done it by thinking big. Literally. The program has secured a commitment from Hofstra transfer center Victory Onetu, a 6'10", 235-pound force who immediately addresses a key need for Greg Gard's squad.

Onetu, a junior this past season, brings a high-energy, defensive-minded presence to Madison. In his lone year at Hofstra, he averaged 4.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in just under 18 minutes per game, appearing in all 35 contests with 17 starts. His ability to protect the rim and crash the glass will be a welcome addition.

The Badgers were actively seeking frontcourt depth following the departure of Aleksas Bieliauskas, and Onetu's skill set fits perfectly. He is expected to pair with returning big men Nolan Winter and Austin Rapp, providing the defensive anchor and shot-blocking prowess the rotation needed. With rising sophomore Will Garlock also in the mix, Wisconsin's frontcourt suddenly looks deep and versatile for the upcoming season.

Hailing from Spain, Onetu developed his game at CB Prat Juventud before his collegiate stint, showcasing a solid foundation of rebounding and interior play. His official visit to Madison clearly sealed the deal, making him the second transfer portal addition for the Badgers this cycle, joining George Washington guard Trey Autry. This strategic pickup signals Wisconsin's intent to bolster its physicality and compete at a higher level in the Big Ten.
