When Luke Loucks began this offseason cycle, Florida State was a program still searching for its identity in the transfer portal era. Two weeks later, the Seminoles have answered that question emphatically. Luke Loucks has constructed the ACC's most impressive portal haul, outpacing blue-blood programs with a class built on production, versatility and depth.
Following the commitment of Colorado forward Sebastian Rancik on Sunday, Florida State's 2026 transfer portal class now ranks No. 4 nationally according to On3's Transfer Portal Team Rankings, trailing only Indiana, Xavier, and UCLA — and sitting ahead of every program in the ACC.
All three programs reportedly have much larger budgets and far more success in their history than FSU. The Seminoles landing at 4th nationally, ahead of programs like Houston, Texas, Michigan, and Ohio State, a ranking that would have been unthinkable just 12 months ago.
The headliner of the class is Rancik, whose commitment on Sunday capped a recruitment that went down to the wire against the Kentucky Wildcats. The 6-foot-11 Colorado forward carries a 93 On3 rating and is ranked as the No. 109 transfer in the country. His addition gives FSU one of the most versatile front-court pieces available in this entire portal cycle.
Here is how FSU’s transfer portal class compares to the rest of the country after adding Rancik.
