We mocked plenty of 2026 mock drafts before the real thing happened a few days ago, so let’s get a really early start on mocking a few 2027 mock drafts to see what they think the Chicago Bears will do.
First up, SB Nation’s James Dator has the Bears picking at 27 (so a second consecutive postseason, I like it) and he has them going with Georgia running back Nate Frazier.
Yeah, that makes sense considering 2026 is the final contracted year for D’Andre Swift, and Frazier’s sprinter speed would be a complement to the physical Kyle Monangai. As a true freshman in 2024, Frazier rushed for 671 yards (5.0), and last year he ran for 947 (5.5).
The USA Today has the Bears picking 28th (playoffs again!) and going with Ahmad Moten, defensive tackle from Miami (Fla.). Here’s what they said about the selection.
Dennis Allen’s defense might require more meaningful disruption from the interior than Gervon Dexter Sr. and Grady Jarrett can provide. Moten’s quick-twitch movements that leave plodding blockers playing catch-up could yield the level of penetration that Allen relishes.
It’s certainly possible that the Bears’ 2026 draft board didn’t have many day 1 or 2 defensive linemen, and their college scouts saw 2027 as the better option.
CBS Sports has the Bears at 17 in their 2027 mock (just missing the playoffs), and they also have the Bears going d-line with Matayo Uiagalelei, EDGE, Oregon.
The younger brother of DJ Uiagalelei, Matayo has carved out his own path in Eugene as one of the most talented pass rushers in the country. A former two-way standout at St. John Bosco, he pairs suddenness and athleticism with a dense frame, offering three-down versatility. While his motor can run hot and cold, the talent is undeniable.
Jacob Infante’s 2027 Bears mock has them picking 19th (which would be a first round playoff exit).

The odds at the FanDuel Sportsbook has the Bears with the eigth best odds to make the playoffs in the NFC at +106, which means the oddsmakers have them just missing the seven team tourney.
