Former Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles is the newest member of the Washington Commanders. On Thursday night, the Commanders used the No. 7 overall pick to select the All-American linebacker to replace future Hall of Famer Bobby Wagner in the middle of Washington's revamped defense.

It was a dream come true for Styles, who many believed would be selected inside the top five. Styles always had a good feeling about landing with the Commanders, telling a story after he was drafted that he told head coach Dan Quinn he would see him soon.

The Commanders recorded the call of GM Adam Peters informing Styles that he was a Commander.

You could hear the excitement in Styles' voice when he spoke with Quinn, telling him, "I told you I'd be back." Styles was reportedly Quinn's guy all along, and Peters gushed about the Ohio State star in an interview at the NFL owners meetings last month.

Styles will be in Ashburn on Friday to meet with the local media.
