Big news out of Los Angeles: USC has just secured a commitment from Lindenwood transfer guard Jadis Jones, a dynamic 6-foot-5 sophomore who's ready to make some serious noise for the Trojans.
Jones is coming off a breakout season that saw him earn All-OVC First Team honors, and it's easy to see why. He averaged an impressive 15.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, and he recorded nine double-doubles along the way. When he gets hot, watch out—he scored 20 or more points in seven games, including a sizzling 30-point performance against Charleston Southern back in November.
This isn't just a late bloomer, either. Jones was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Missouri during his senior season at New Madrid County Central High School, so he's been on the radar for a while. Now, he's bringing that high-flying game to the Pac-12.
Jones is the fourth addition via the NCAA transfer portal for head coach Eric Musselman, who's been busy stacking the roster. He joins UConn center Eric Reibe (5.9 PPG), Georgetown guard KJ Lewis (14.9 PPG), and Colgate guard Jalen Cox (17.9 PPG) to form a formidable new wave of talent.
And the Trojans aren't stopping there. USC also boasts the No. 3 overall recruiting class in the nation, headlined by three McDonald's All-Americans: five-star small forward Christian Collins (ranked No. 6 nationally), four-star center Adonis Ratliff (No. 19), and four-star center Darius Ratliff (No. 30). That's the kind of depth that turns a good team into a contender.
On top of all that, USC is set to return three starters: guard Rodney Rice (who averaged 20.3 PPG in six games), guard Alijah Arenas (14.1 PPG), and forward Jacob Cofie (9.9 PPG). With this mix of experienced returnees, high-profile recruits, and savvy transfer adds, the Trojans are building something special for the upcoming season.
Whether you're a die-hard fan or just love seeing the next generation of stars rise, keep an eye on Jadis Jones—he's the kind of player who can change a game in an instant.
