USC hopes that its new acquisition can help it take a step up in the Big Ten next year.

The USC Trojans are making moves. Head coach Eric Musselman, who led Nevada and Arkansas to the NCAA tournament but has yet to do the same with USC, is turning to the transfer portal for a boost. His latest addition? Jadis Jones, a two-time All-OVC guard from Lindenwood, who could be the key to getting the Trojans back to March Madness.

Jones has been a standout in the Ohio Valley Conference over the past two seasons. As a freshman, he was named the conference's Rookie of the Year, and this past year, he earned a spot on the All-OVC First Team. The 6'5" sophomore averaged an impressive 15.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Lions—a stat line that turns heads for any player, let alone a guard.

What makes Jones special? For starters, his shooting is rock-solid. He's a career 56% shooter from the field, showing a knack for knocking down mid-range jumpers and finishing strong at the rim. But his rebounding is what really sets him apart. Averaging 8.5 boards per game last season (up from nearly six as a freshman), Jones plays like a forward in a guard's body. He also has quick hands, averaging 1.4 steals per game throughout his college career.

For Musselman and the Trojans, Jones brings versatility and grit—exactly what you need to compete in the Big Ten. If he can translate his OVC dominance to a bigger stage, USC might just have the spark it needs to make a tournament run.
