Udinese's rising star Oumar Solet has reportedly set his sights on a move to Inter Milan, following in the footsteps of teammate Tarik Muharemovic. The Nerazzurri have long admired the 24-year-old defender, and Udinese appears open to a deal—though a lingering legal issue has put the brakes on what was shaping up to be a summer transfer.

Solet's potential move was disrupted last year by a sexual misconduct inquiry. However, the local district attorney's office requested the case be dismissed in February, and a final decision from the preliminary investigation is still pending. If cleared, Solet could become a very real target for Inter, with a reported price tag of around €25 million—a modest fee in today's market.

Signed by Udinese on a free transfer from RB Salzburg in 2024, Solet has since notched 4 goals and 3 assists in 55 appearances in Serie A. His style is aggressive and free-flowing, which could make him an intriguing fit for Inter's system—especially in an attacking side that can cover for his occasional defensive lapses.

Inter could be looking to shore up their backline with a two-for-one approach, meaning both Solet and Muharemovic are on their radar, though the pursuit of the latter has grown more complicated. Meanwhile, the reigning Serie A champions might also welcome back Benjamin Pavard on a free transfer after his loan spell at Olympique Marseille. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Pavard is eager to fight for a spot in the squad. Inter sent him out last summer following a minor disagreement with coach Christian Chivu and the front office over his lack of playing time in the second half of the season.

Solet's relatively modest price tag could attract other suitors if his legal troubles are resolved. While he'd be a solid rotational option for Inter, Chivu's strict disciplinary approach may be a factor to watch. For now, all eyes are on the court's decision—and whether Udinese's ace will be making a move to Milan.
