North Carolina offensive linemen Chad Lindbergh and Austin Blaske have signed with the Los Angeles Rams as undrafted free agents.
They are the second and third Tar Heels to sign with an NFL team. Cornerback Thaddeus Dixon signed with the New York Giants earlier Saturday. North Carolina did not have a single player selected in the NFL Draft for the first time since 2016.
Lindbergh became the starting center after injuries to both Christo Kelly and Blaske thrust him into the role in UNC’s season opener against TCU. He started seven of the eight games he played in and did not allow a sack in 268 pass-blocking attempts. He was sidelined with an injury for the rest of the year in the game against Syracuse on Halloween night.
Blaske, a two-year starter on the offensive line, earned starts at both left tackle and center. He spent most of his two years at UNC at center, where he started every game in 2024 and was the starting center for the final five games after Lindbergh was ruled out for the season.
Blaske and Lindbergh were also teammates at Georgia, where they were part of the Bulldogs’ back-to-back national championship teams in 2021 and 2022.
