Centerville is making a strong push for conference supremacy, and Monday's action showed just how deep their athletic program runs this season.

The baseball team locked up the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) title outright after a gritty 3-2 win over Beavercreek. Starter Luke Maciejewski was the star of the show, going the distance and fanning nine batters to keep the Elks in control. Lucas Clark provided the offensive spark with three hits and an RBI, while Ryan Muchmore drove in another run to seal the victory. The win pushes Centerville to an impressive 17-2 overall and a perfect 12-0 in conference play.

Over on the lacrosse field, the boys' squad also made headlines by handing Beavercreek its first conference loss of the season with an emphatic 18-8 win. The Elks now have a chance to claim the GWOC title outright if they can take down Northmont next week.

Softball kept the momentum rolling, too, with an 11-7 win over Beavercreek that puts them one step closer to the conference crown. Caitlyn Belcher had a monster day at the plate, doubling and homering as part of a four-hit performance that drove in five runs. Lillie Hopf added three hits and two RBIs to keep the offense humming. The Elks now sit at 18-6 overall and 11-1 in conference play, setting up a pivotal two-game series against Springboro that will likely decide the champion. They travel to Springboro on Wednesday, May 6, before hosting them on Friday, May 8.

Boys tennis has already secured a share of the GWOC title and can take it outright with a win at Springboro on Tuesday, May 5. Meanwhile, boys volleyball remains undefeated in conference play at 6-0, with two key matchups left against Northmont and Beavercreek. Girls lacrosse is still in the hunt, trailing Springboro but with two conference games remaining to close the gap.

Elsewhere around the conference, Springboro's Jacob Rhinehart had a big day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and five RBIs to lead his team to a 13-1 win over Wayne. Dylan Brabston earned the win on the mound, tossing six strong innings as Springboro improved to 15-4 overall.

Fairmont rolled past Springfield 8-1, thanks to Joey Lanning's seven strikeouts over five innings on the mound. Jackson Furr legged out two triples and drove in three runs, while Skyler Slifer added three hits and two RBIs to pace the offense.

Troy extended its winning streak to nine games with a 12-2 victory over Greenville. Aidan Gorman, Logan Akers, and Jake Reinhardt each knocked in two runs, and Cole Oswalt picked up the win on the hill. Troy now sits at 17-1 overall and 14-1 in MVL play.

Butler put up a football-like score in a 28-0 rout of Piqua, with Koby Dues doubling twice and driving in five runs. Carson Heis added four hits and four RBIs as Butler improved to 17-2 overall and 12-1 in the MVL.

Xenia clinched at least a share of the MVL Valley division title after Braylon Williamson tossed a complete-game shutout on just 63 pitches in a 2-0 win over West Carrollton. Efficiency was the name of the game for Williamson, who kept the Pirates off balance all afternoon.

Finally, Ben Logan edged Indian Lake 2-0, with Jacob Hawley throwing seven shutout innings and striking out six to earn the win. Xavier Allen came around to score both runs, providing all the support Hawley would need.
