The Texas A&M men’s basketball program is putting the finishing touches on its 2026–27 roster, but the biggest shakeup this offseason isn’t happening on the court—it’s happening behind the scenes. A key member of the Aggies’ support staff is heading west for a new challenge.

Shane Sinon, who served as Texas A&M’s Assistant Director of Operations, has officially joined Cal Baptist as an assistant coach. While the Aggies haven’t made a formal announcement, the move marks a significant career leap for Sinon, transitioning from the logistics and planning side of the game to an on-court coaching role.

Sinon was retained by head coach Bucky McMillan last season and previously worked under former coach Buzz Williams. In his earlier years with the program, he handled travel logistics, inventory management, and other day-to-day operational needs. This past season, he worked closely with Director of Operations Warren Fitzpatrick, contributing to recruiting coordination, financial processes, and media-related operations. His attention to detail and organizational skills were instrumental in keeping the Aggies’ program running smoothly.

Now, with Sinon heading to the West Coast, McMillan has an opening to fill on his support staff. Given the program’s emphasis on structure and continuity, expect the Aggies to target a sharp, detail-oriented replacement who can step in without missing a beat. In the fast-paced world of college basketball, every piece of the puzzle matters—and Texas A&M will be looking for the right fit to keep their operations humming.
