Tennessee basketball is making serious noise in the transfer portal, and the arrival of Juke Harris has pushed the Volunteers into the national elite. After a patient two-week wait, the 6-foot-7 wing officially committed to Rick Barnes' program, choosing the Vols over Michigan and North Carolina. It's a massive get for a team that has reloaded with incredible speed this offseason.

Harris comes in with serious credentials. As a sophomore at Wake Forest last season, he averaged 21.4 points per game and earned Second Team All-ACC honors. Ranked as the No. 8 player in the transfer portal by 247Sports, he brings a scoring punch that Tennessee desperately needed after losing most of last year's roster. Barnes didn't hold back his excitement, calling Harris "an explosive talent" and "one of the premier scorers nationally" who can take over a game at any moment.

Harris joins an already loaded portal class that includes guards Dai Dai Ames, Tyler Lundblade, and Terrence Hill Jr., along with forwards Jalen Haralson, Miles Rubin, and Braeden Lue. Add in returning guard Troy Henderson and center Dewayne Brown, plus four incoming prep signees, and this roster is taking shape fast. Tennessee still has one scholarship left, likely targeting another big man to round out the depth.

With seven portal additions secured, the Vols now sit second nationally in 247Sports' transfer class rankings, trailing only Louisville. Texas, Indiana, and Miami round out the top five. Six of Tennessee's transfers are ranked in the top 100 overall, with three landing inside the top 25. Barnes and his staff lost all but two players from last season, but they promised aggressive spending in the portal. So far, that promise looks like an understatement—they simply haven't missed on any of their top targets.
