Tejada is far from a traditional big man. The New Jersey native is officially listed as a guard and arrives in Cincinnati with a proven scoring pedigree. He was a double-digit scorer for all three of his seasons at Towson, earning Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Year honors in 2023-24 before being named the CAA Player of the Year the following season.

His most recent campaign was his most impressive, averaging 17.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Tejada showcased his scoring versatility with three 30-point performances, including a 35-point outburst in the CAA tournament. He also proved he can compete against elite competition, posting 11 points and 8 rebounds against a powerhouse Houston squad ranked No. 2 in the nation at the time.

As a senior with one year of eligibility remaining, Tejada's commitment marks a major win for Head Coach Wes Miller in the transfer portal.
