The Scottish Premiership title race just got a whole lot more interesting. Over the weekend, Hearts of Midlothian and Celtic emerged as the two frontrunners, leaving Rangers trailing in their wake. It's shaping up to be a thrilling two-way battle as the season heads into its final stretch.

Celtic kicked things off with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over a 10-man Hibernian at Easter Road. The win temporarily pulled them level on points with league leaders Hearts, turning up the heat on the Edinburgh side. But Hearts didn't flinch. In a top-of-the-table showdown at Tynecastle Park, they held their nerve and edged past Rangers with a 2-1 comeback win—their third victory over the Gers in their last four meetings.

That result didn't just keep Hearts in the driver's seat; it all but knocked Rangers out of the title race. For Celtic, the win over Hibs stretched their winning streak to six games across all competitions, but it was far from straightforward. Daizen Maeda broke the deadlock in the 41st minute after a VAR check, only for Hibs captain Joe Newell to equalize just before halftime. It wasn't until the 74th minute that Kelechi Iheanacho—the former Manchester City striker—popped up with the winner, giving Hearts plenty to think about ahead of their clash with Rangers.

And think they did. Rangers struck first through Dujon Sterling in the 23rd minute, but Hearts turned the game on its head in the second half. Despite having just 36% possession in the first half, Derek McInnes' side showed the grit and champions' mentality that's defined their season. The victory maintained their slender lead at the top and sent a clear message: Hearts are not just a surprise package—they're the real deal.

With only a few weeks left in the season, every match feels like a cup final. Celtic's relentless form and Hearts' newfound resilience promise a finish that no football fan will want to miss. Whether you're backing the Hoops or the Jambos, one thing's for sure—this title race is far from over.
