The New Orleans Saints have added another undrafted rookie to their 90-man roster, signing defensive lineman Zxavian Harris on Thursday. This move comes as the team prepares for its rookie minicamp this weekend, having already inked 10 other undrafted free agents.

Harris, a four-year standout at Ole Miss, brings an intriguing mix of potential and risk to the Saints' defensive line. During his college career, he recorded 58 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, and an interception—stats that typically would have made him a mid-round draft pick. However, a pair of arrests during his time in Oxford may have caused teams to pass on him last month.

Compounding his draft-day slide is a recent foot injury. According to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, Harris underwent foot surgery in March and is still recovering. As a result, he is not expected to participate in any on-field work during this weekend's rookie minicamp.

For Saints fans, Harris represents an intriguing developmental project. If he can stay healthy and focused, his size and production at Ole Miss suggest he could develop into a rotational piece on a defensive line that values depth. For now, the team will take a patient approach, allowing him to heal before evaluating his potential fit in New Orleans' defensive scheme.
