The Las Vegas Raiders have signed a potential fan favorite.

The 2026 NFL Draft came and went without Kansei Matsuzawa being picked.

But soon after, the kicker who played at Hawaii and is known as "The Tokyo Toe" signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Raiders.

Former Hawaii kicker Kansei Matsuzawa is signing with the Raiders, per his agents @isa_management.Born in Japan, Matsuzawa — AKA “The Tokyo Toe” — now brings his leg to Las Vegas.

Matsuzawa could have a legitimate chance to make the Raiders.

Right now, they've brought aboard Matthew Gay this offseason, but that's their only other placekicking option under contract.

Matsuzawa had an impressive 2025 college football season and will make a run at the job in Vegas.

He's originally born in Japan and wanted to play college soccer there, but he eventually was exposed to American football and taught himself to kick from YouTube videos.

He first made it to Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, before eventually latching on at Hawaii.

He had a long field goal of 52 yards in 2025, including a game-winner in the opener against Stanford.

Matsuzawa hardly missed during his entire college career. He'll be hoping to get the chance to prove he can do the same in the NFL.
