The Miami Dolphins have added an intriguing quarterback to their roster—just not through the draft. After meeting with Mark Gronowski during the pre-draft process but passing on selecting him, the team has now signed the signal-caller as one of 11 undrafted free agents on Friday.
Gronowski joins a quarterback room that includes Malik Willis, Quinn Ewers, and Cam Miller, giving the Dolphins plenty of depth under center. The former South Dakota State star brings a wealth of experience, having started four seasons for the Jackrabbits before transferring to Iowa for his final year. His college career wasn't without adversity—he missed time with a torn ACL—but he bounced back impressively. In his lone season with the Hawkeyes, Gronowski completed 63.4 percent of his passes and showcased his dual-threat ability by rushing for 16 touchdowns.
The Dolphins didn't stop there. They also inked a diverse group of undrafted talent, including Iowa State center Jim Bonifas, Boston College tackle Kevin Cline, Oregon State running back Anthony Hankerson, Louisville defensive lineman Rene Konga, Michigan wide receiver Donaven McCulley, Western Michigan edge rusher Rodney McGraw, Indiana safety Louis Moore, Texas A&M running back Le'Veon Moss, Wisconsin edge rusher Mason Reiger, and Kentucky defensive lineman Kahlil Saunders.
For Dolphins fans, this undrafted class offers a mix of proven production and raw potential—players who could carve out roles on special teams or develop into contributors down the road. And with Gronowski's experience and mobility, he's one to watch as training camp approaches.
