The Carolina Panthers are making moves to bolster their roster, and it looks like another wide receiver is on the way. According to team reporter Kassidy Hill, the Panthers are expected to sign undrafted free agent Malick Meiga next week, adding some intriguing depth to their receiving corps.
Meiga, a 6-foot-4, 204-pound target out of Montreal, Canada, brings a blend of size and experience after a five-year collegiate career. He spent three seasons at Penn State (2021-2023) before transferring to Coastal Carolina for the 2024-2025 seasons. Over 51 games, he hauled in 35 receptions for 432 yards and two touchdowns—numbers that hint at untapped potential as he transitions to the NFL.
This signing would add to an already busy undrafted free-agent class for Carolina, which officially announced 10 new additions on Thursday. Meiga would join a group of hopefuls looking to make their mark at the team's rookie minicamp, set to kick off Friday morning.
The Panthers have also locked in six of their seven picks from the 2026 NFL Draft, including first-round offensive tackle Monroe Freeling, signaling a focused effort to build for the future. With training camp on the horizon, all eyes will be on how these new faces—Meiga included—fit into the team's plans.
