The college basketball transfer portal is officially open, and the dominoes are already starting to fall. Former Oregon Ducks forward Dezdrick Lindsay has found his new home, announcing his commitment to the Kansas State Wildcats for his final season of eligibility.

Lindsay, a 6-foot-6 wing, spent last season as a key bench contributor for the Ducks. He appeared in 32 games, averaging 5.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in just over 20 minutes per contest. His most explosive performance came in a February win over Penn State, where he poured in 16 points off the bench, knocking down four three-pointers while adding five assists and two steals.

His move to the Big 12 comes at a pivotal time for both programs. For Kansas State, Lindsay arrives as a potential scoring option after the departure of leading scorer PJ Haggerty to Texas A&M. For Oregon, his exit is part of a significant roster overhaul; Lindsay is one of nine Ducks to enter the portal this offseason. Head coach Dana Altman recently cited challenges with NIL commitments as a factor in the wave of departures.

Lindsay's journey to Manhattan has been a winding one. He began his collegiate career at Florida SouthWestern State College before transferring to Oregon, where he took a medical redshirt in the 2024-25 season. Now, he gets a fresh start in one of the nation's toughest conferences.

He won't be the only new face in purple, joining Colorado State transfer Brandon Rechsteiner as part of Kansas State's early portal haul. Meanwhile, back in Eugene, the Ducks are actively searching the portal to replace Lindsay and the other departed players, signaling a busy offseason ahead for teams looking to build a winning roster.
