The New Orleans Saints kicked off the 2026 NFL Draft strong, selecting Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson at pick No. 8 and Georgia defensive lineman Christen Miller at pick No. 42. Now, at selection No. 73, they continue to build towards the future on the offensive side of the ball, drafting Georgia tight end Oscar Delp, making two straight picks from the school for New Orleans.

Delp enters a room with Juwan Johnson, Noah Fant, and Moliki Matavao as the other primary options on the roster. While he will have to fight for reps initially, he should end up being an exceptional option for Tyler Shough to throw to for the foreseeable future.

His primary skill set comes across the middle of the field, making catches in traffic and getting open through the stem of the route. If he can continue to develop and improve his route tree, he could end up being an exceptional pairing alongside Johnson.
