Boxing fans remember well what happened the last time Davis — and his brothers, Kelvin and Keon, known collectively as DB3 — fought at Scope. On the same card, Kelvin, suffered his first professional loss to Albright. Later that night, Keyshawn and Keon Davis were involved in a physical altercation with Albright.

NORFOLK — When Keyshawn Davis steps back into the ring at Scope this Saturday, he’s not just fighting an opponent — he’s reclaiming his hometown stage. The theme for the night is "Unfinished Business," but for the man they call "The Businessman," it’s strictly professional.

"Nahir said it’s personal for him. I never said it was personal for me. There’s no unfinished business on my end," Davis said, shaking off the narrative. "It’s annoying, honestly. They built this fight around a false story. I didn’t even want this fight — I wanted Oscar Durante or two other guys. But Top Rank insisted, so I’m rolling with my team."

Still, Davis promises fans a special night. And if you remember the last time the Davis brothers — Keyshawn, Kelvin, and Keon, known collectively as DB3 — fought at Scope, you know the stakes are high.

Last June was a disaster for the former Olympic silver medalist and WBO lightweight champion. Davis missed weight, had his title stripped, and his fight was canceled. On the same card, his brother Kelvin suffered his first professional loss — to none other than Nahir Albright. Later that night, things boiled over: Keyshawn and Keon were involved in a physical altercation with Albright, who claimed the brothers "jumped" him in the locker room. The video went viral on ESPN and social media.

Davis took nearly a year off to regroup. Now, he’s back for a 12-round super-lightweight rematch with Albright. Their first fight in 2023 ended in a majority decision win for Davis, but the result was overturned after he tested positive for marijuana.

Albright (17-2-1, 7 KOs) is hungry for another Davis win. "It’s definitely motivation. I’m just ready and focused for Saturday night," he said. For Keyshawn, though, this is about more than revenge — it’s about showing the world a new and improved version of himself, right in front of his hometown crowd.
