Nelly Korda is making the 2026 LPGA season look effortless. The world No. 1 delivered yet another masterclass at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba, cruising to a four-shot victory with a final-round 3-under 69. It marks her third win in just six starts this season—a blistering pace that has the golf world taking notice.
Playing in the tropical heat of Playa del Carmen, Mexico, Korda left the field in her wake early on Sunday. She built a lead that swelled to as many as seven strokes, thanks to a stretch of precision golf that included a jaw-dropping 60 consecutive holes without a bogey. That streak finally ended on the 18th hole, but by then, the tournament was long decided.
Korda's dominance began with a three-shot lead, and she wasted no time putting the competition away. A 12-foot eagle putt from the collar on the par-5 fifth set the tone, followed by a 10-foot birdie from the fringe on the sixth. She then stuffed a lob wedge to 4 feet for another birdie on the par-5 seventh. From there, it was a parade of pars—10 straight—until a wayward drive on the final hole forced her to scramble for a bogey.
The victory is especially impressive considering Korda's recent form. Just one week earlier, she captured her third career major at the Chevron Championship, crushing the field with similar authority. Now, she becomes the first player since Annika Sorenstam in 2001 to start a season with nothing worse than a runner-up finish through six events.
Arpichaya Yubol of Thailand celebrated her 24th birthday with a solid 70 to finish alone in second at 13 under. Yu Liu of China (69) was another shot back. But neither had a realistic chance against Korda, who seems to be playing a different game than everyone else right now.
When asked if this is the best golf of her career, the ever-humble Korda simply smiled. "I'm just enjoying myself, and I love the competition," she said. "I love traveling to places like Mexico, all over the world. I'm just having fun."
For fans of the game—and anyone who loves watching greatness in motion—Nelly Korda's hot streak is must-see golf. And with the season still young, there's no telling how many more trophies she'll add to her collection.
