A late add to the wide receiver room, Michigan State has added the commitment of Jackson State WR Jameel Gardner.

Michigan State football just added a new weapon to its offensive arsenal, securing a commitment from Jackson State wide receiver transfer Jameel Gardner during Saturday's spring showcase. This late addition to the transfer portal bolsters the Spartans' receiving corps with proven experience.

Gardner, a Detroit native and former Cass Tech standout, brings a well-traveled collegiate resume to East Lansing. He began his career at Kent State, where he recorded 24 receptions for 298 yards and a touchdown, before transferring to Jackson State. With the Tigers, he developed into a key target, hauling in 32 passes for 483 yards and two touchdowns this past season after a 12-reception campaign the year prior.

Standing at 6-foot and 185 pounds, Gardner projects as an outside receiver who can stretch the field. His immediate impact will be providing crucial veteran depth to a Spartan wide receiver room looking to make noise in the Big Ten. For a program building momentum, adding a productive transfer like Gardner is a strategic move that strengthens their offensive options for the coming seasons.
