Mallory Edens is set to return to the NBA draft lottery stage, and the Milwaukee Bucks are hoping she brings the same magic she did back in 2014.

Edens, the daughter of Bucks co-owner Wes Edens, will represent the franchise at the May 10 lottery in Chicago. Twelve years ago, she was the team's good-luck charm when Milwaukee landed the No. 2 overall pick—a moment that became a memorable part of Bucks lore.

Back in 2014, an 18-year-old Edens helped the Bucks secure the second selection despite having a 25% chance at the top prize. Cleveland ultimately won the No. 1 pick and chose Andrew Wiggins, while Milwaukee used its pick on Duke's Jabari Parker. Though Parker's career was derailed by injuries, the draft class proved historic: Joel Embiid went third overall, and the Denver Nuggets struck gold in the second round with Nikola Jokić at No. 41. The Bucks, of course, had already found their franchise cornerstone a year earlier, selecting Giannis Antetokounmpo 15th overall in 2013.

Edens' 2014 appearance drew significant attention, something she has since said had unintended personal consequences. But now, she's ready to step back into the spotlight.

This time, the odds are far steeper. The Bucks have just a 3% chance at the No. 1 pick—and even if they win it, the selection would go to the Atlanta Hawks (via New Orleans) due to a trade stipulation from the 2020 Jrue Holiday deal. The best-case scenario for Milwaukee is for the New Orleans Pelicans to win the top pick (they have a 6.8% chance), which would allow the Bucks to keep their own selection—potentially as high as No. 2.

Edens will be joined by Charlotte Hornets star and Milwaukee native Kon Knueppel, as well as former Bucks great Toni Kukoč, who will represent the Chicago Bulls. For Bucks fans, having Edens back at the table feels like a familiar comfort—a nod to a pivotal moment in the franchise's rise.
