London City Lionesses are heading into today's clash with Tottenham Hotspur with a chip on their shoulder, and head coach Eder Maestre isn't hiding it. When his side takes the pitch at the BetWright Stadium this afternoon, revenge is the name of the game.

The Pride haven't forgotten their painful Adobe Women's FA Cup exit back in February, when Spurs edged them out in a penalty shootout after a tense draw. That loss still stings, and Maestre is using it as fuel. "I hope we can have a good game against them and get revenge," he said. "It was really painful how we conceded the penalty then lost in the shootout."

But Maestre knows this won't be easy. Tottenham are a well-oiled machine, especially in their build-up play, and their flexible positioning keeps opponents guessing. "They are maybe one of the best teams in the build-up," he noted. "We have to be very aware in our out-of-possession work to stay alert to every situation they try to create."

London City, however, are riding high after a dominant 5-1 thrashing of Leicester City last weekend. What made that win even sweeter? Five different players got on the scoresheet, a testament to the team's depth and unselfishness. "When you score five times with different scorers, it's a consequence of everybody's work," Maestre said. "We keep pushing until the end, and that's the mentality we're building."

With their first season in the top flight nearly wrapped up, Maestre is already thinking bigger. Next season's target? Nothing less than the title. "We are ambitious, and we are going to fight to be champions next year," he declared. "Everything has to be aligned to increase the possibility of achieving those goals."

For now, though, all eyes are on Spurs. Expect a fired-up London City side looking to settle an old score and build momentum for what promises to be an exciting future.
