Seton Hall just got a whole lot more dangerous from deep. Rodney Brown Jr., a 6-foot-6 transfer guard from Loyola Marymount, has committed to the Pirates, according to his agent Ryan Murphy. It's a move that could pay huge dividends for Shaheen Holloway's backcourt.

Brown is coming off a breakout junior season where he led the entire West Coast Conference in three-pointers made, knocking down 87 at a crisp 38.2% clip. His 14.0 points per game average was a career high, and he showed he could get hot in a hurry with four 20-point outings. For a program looking to stretch the floor and add perimeter firepower, Brown checks every box.

His path to this moment has been anything but straight. Brown began his college career at Cal, averaging just 3.5 points as a freshman. He transferred to Virginia Tech, where his scoring ticked up slightly to 4.1 points per game. But it wasn't until he landed at LMU that everything clicked. Now, he's taking that momentum to South Orange, where he'll be expected to step in and contribute immediately.

Brown is the fifth transfer addition for Holloway this offseason, and the roster is starting to take shape with a clear emphasis on guard play. He joins a backcourt that includes Texas transfer Simeon Wilcher (5.6 PPG), Radford standout Del Jones (17.2 PPG), Xavier transfer Roddie Anderson (10.9 PPG), and Dartmouth transfer Kareem Thomas (15.9 PPG). That's a lot of scoring and experience coming into the program.

For Seton Hall fans, the message is clear: the Pirates are reloading with proven talent, and Brown's shooting touch could be the key that unlocks everything.
