According to ESPN, when Hornets GM Jeff Peterson consulted his star point guard about the 2025 draft class, Ball had a clear and compelling answer: Duke forward Kon Knueppel. This conversation happened before the draft lottery, with Charlotte's final pick unknown, yet Ball was adamant.
