Soriano ended Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds with seven innings pitched and 10 strikeouts, making him the first player in the American League to pitch six-or-more innings with one-or-fewer runs and three-or-fewer hits in each of his first four starts of the season.

The right-hander has been lights out for the Halos this season, and has just a 0.33 ERA through 27 innings pitched. He started ths eason strong with six shutout frames against the Houston Astros, then followed it up with six more against the Chicago Cubs five days later.

He allowed his first run of the season in a 10-strikeout performance against the Atlanta Braves April 6 before his outing Sunday to cap it off.

Soriano has been one of the brighter spots for the Angels over the past few seasons, and has posted a solid couple of seasons since becoming a starter in 2024. He posted a 3.42 ERA in 2024 through 22 appearances, and made 30 starts for the first time in his career in 2025 with a 4.26 ERA.

The 27-year-old will hope he can continue his good form throughout the season as the Angels look to make the postseason for the first time in more than a decade. They currently sit at 8-8, just half a game back of the first-place Athletics and Texas Rangers.
