The Jacksonville Jaguars made a statement in the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting Oregon offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon with the 88th overall pick. Here's everything you need to know about the newest member of the Jaguars' front line.
Pregnon brings a powerful presence to the interior offensive line. This past season, he earned recognition as one of Pro Football Focus' highest-graded run-blockers at the guard position. But he's not just a road-grader in the running game—he was equally impressive in pass protection, allowing just one sack and five pressures over 471 pass-blocking snaps. While the bulk of his experience comes at left guard, he's also shown versatility by lining up at right guard.
His athletic profile is equally impressive. Pregnon scored a 9.18 Relative Athletic Score (RAS) out of a possible 10.00, ranking 155th out of 1,867 offensive guards from 1987 to 2026. That combination of production and measurables makes him an intriguing prospect.
NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein had high praise for the Oregon product: "Ultra-durable and experienced, Pregnon has the prototypical frame of a downhill blocker. He'll get beat to first contact but usually reclaims the rep using well-placed hands, a broad base and upper-body power to displace and finish with authority. Range and foot quickness are average as a move blocker and lead to block leakage against slants. In pass pro, he leverages his length well and is quick to detect twists and blitz development. Long pass slides and forward lunges invite counters from skilled, sub-package rushers, but protection isn't a major concern. He'll be an older rookie who projects as a good plug-and-play starter and immediate run-blocking upgrade."
Jaguars head coach Liam Coen shared his excitement about the pick: "A first-team All-American. The type of player that adds mass inside. That's something that we've been continuously evaluating—getting bigger, faster, stronger, and tougher. And that's something that he does for us. I'm very good friends with Will Stein, who was his offensive coordinator. We talked a lot throughout the last week. Very close with Dan Lanning as well. So, you look at his physical attributes, the stuff we can't coach. And then a guy that wasn't a mental error guy, wasn't somebody that couldn't handle all of the schemes."
For Jaguars fans looking to gear up for the new season, Pregnon's arrival signals a renewed focus on building a physical, dominant offensive line—a perfect reason to refresh your game-day wardrobe with the latest Jaguars gear.
