The Indiana Fever are making strategic moves to build a contender, announcing the signing of veteran guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough as they continue to shape their roster for the 2026 WNBA season.
This addition brings a wealth of experience and a winning pedigree to a Fever team looking to capitalize on its rising star power. "Shatori is a versatile guard who adds depth to our backcourt rotation," said Fever Chief Operations Officer and General Manager Amber Cox. "She’s a proven veteran in our league who brings a championship mindset and experience, both on and off the court."
Walker-Kimbrough, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft, is a seasoned professional with nine years in the league. Her career highlights include being a key part of the Washington Mystics' 2019 championship run, an experience she shares with her new Fever teammate, Myisha Hines-Allen. After stints with Phoenix, Connecticut, and a return to Washington—where she etched her name in the franchise record books for steals and three-pointers—she spent last season with Atlanta.
While her statistical impact was limited in 2023, Walker-Kimbrough arrives in Indiana with invaluable experience from 274 regular-season games. Her role will likely be to provide defensive tenacity, floor spacing, and crucial veteran leadership for a young Fever core, embodying the kind of gritty, team-first mentality that defines championship culture.
