Here is how one of the Jaguars' Day 2 draft picks has caught Liam Coen's attention at rookie minicamp.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen is already getting a firsthand look at what third-round pick Emmanuel Pregnon brings to the table during this weekend's rookie minicamp—and the early returns are turning heads.

Even without pads or contact, it's tough to fully evaluate an offensive lineman. But Pregnon's sheer size and natural ability have made an immediate impression. "Large man," Coen said with a smile. "Some of that you can't coach. When you have big, strong hands as an interior offensive lineman, it's a huge asset—especially in pass protection. You can snap things off and, in one-on-one situations, not just hold your ground but move defenders backward."

Coen added that while a true evaluation will take time, Pregnon's college film speaks volumes. "Based on what he did at a high level in college, he displayed those traits. Right now, it's about care factor, intentionality, communication, and learning. That's what this camp is for."

Pregnon arrives in Jacksonville after a standout 2025 season at left guard for the Oregon Ducks. Among 101 eligible guards, he ranked second in Pro Football Focus run-blocking grade and tied for eighth in pass-blocking efficiency. Over 471 pass-blocking snaps, he allowed just one sack and five pressures—numbers that earned him first-team All-American honors.

So, what does Coen want to see from his new lineman in these early days? "Just getting to know him personally," Coen explained. "What makes him tick? How does he learn best—in the meeting room, during walkthroughs? How does that change as we go? It's all about building that foundation."

For Jaguars fans, Pregnon's combination of size, skill, and work ethic is a promising sign for the offensive line's future.
