Julian Alvarez is getting the rumor mill all excited with speculation claiming he’s house hunting in Barcelona ahead of a potential summer transfer to the Catalans.

Journalist Emiliano Raggi has told TNT Sports Mexico that Alvarez has sent his brothers to check out several homes in the Castelldefels and Les Corts area of Barcelona today.

The old house-hunting rumor often crops up when players are linked with high-profile transfers, and the update will likely continue to fuel speculation that Alvarez is on his way to Barca this summer.

Alvarez is reported to be the club’s top transfer target, and he has refused to rule out a summer exit away from Atletico Madrid despite the club insisting he is not for sale.

Yet his price tag still seems to be out of Barcelona’s reach as the Catalans continue to work under financial constraints.

Atletico are believed to want at least €100 million for Alvarez, but it remains to be seen if Barca will be able to find a way to fund such a big transfer this summer.
