Garrett Wilson entered the NFL as the 10th overall pick in the 2022 draft, and his talent has never been in question. But in the ever-evolving landscape of dynasty fantasy football, talent alone doesn't always translate to elite production. As free agency and the 2026 rookie draft settle in, it's time to take a hard look at where Wilson stands—and whether he's a player you should be holding or shipping out.
Right now, according to Keep Trade Cut—the go-to crowdsourced tool for dynasty values—Wilson sits at WR13 in superflex formats and WR27 in 1QB leagues. On the surface, that feels fair. He's a young, gifted receiver with a bright future. But dig a little deeper, and the picture gets murkier.
Wilson has never averaged more than 15 points per game in PPR scoring. Last season, he missed significant time due to injury, playing just seven games. While health is always a concern, the bigger issue is the quarterback carousel. Year after year, Wilson has been tethered to inconsistent or injured QB play, preventing him from breaking into that elite tier of fantasy producers.
That's why I've been actively looking to trade Wilson away in dynasty leagues. It's not that I don't believe in his talent—I do. But in fantasy football, opportunity and situation matter just as much as skill. With the Jets' offense still finding its identity, Wilson's ceiling may be capped until the team finds stability under center.
If you're a Wilson owner, now might be the time to cash in while his name value still carries weight. There are plenty of young receivers and running backs entering the league who could offer a higher upside in the coming years. Sometimes the best move is knowing when to let go.
