The Minnesota Vikings made a major splash this week, locking up the majority of their 2026 draft class in a single productive day. On Friday, the team announced the signing of eight of their nine draft picks, a move that signals confidence in their newest talent and ensures a smooth transition into training camp.

Headlining the group is first-round defensive tackle Caleb Banks, selected 18th overall. The imposing interior lineman inked a four-year deal worth $21.28 million in fully guaranteed money—a standard but significant commitment for a top-20 pick. As is customary for first-round selections, Banks' contract also includes a team option for a fifth season, giving the Vikings long-term flexibility as they build around their young core.

Banks isn't the only newcomer on the defensive line. The Vikings also signed third-round pick Domonique Orange, another defensive tackle, adding depth and power to the trenches. The third round proved busy for Minnesota, as they also secured offensive tackle Caleb Tiernan and safety Jakobe Thomas—both of whom are expected to compete for immediate playing time.

The later rounds brought versatility and special teams potential. Fifth-round fullback Max Bredeson and cornerback Charles Demmings joined the fold, followed by sixth-round running back Demond Claiborne and seventh-round center Gavin Gerhardt. Each signing fills a specific need, from blocking schemes to secondary depth.

With eight of nine picks now under contract, the only remaining unsigned draftee is second-round linebacker Jake Golday. While his deal is likely imminent, the Vikings can already focus on integrating their new talent into the roster—and fans can start dreaming of what this rookie class will bring to the field.
