The New York Jets might have been a Fantasy Football nightmare in 2025, but there's finally a glimmer of hope for managers looking to strike gold in 2026. After a rough season where only Breece Hall delivered consistent production, the Jets have added some exciting rookie talent that could shake up your draft board.
ESPN recently held a 10-team mock draft to gauge where these new faces might land in Fantasy leagues, and the results reveal a clear pecking order between the Jets' two first-round picks: wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. and tight end Kenyon Sadiq.
Cooper, selected 30th overall by New York, came off the board at pick 103—that's Round 11 as the 49th wide receiver taken. For context, he was drafted right behind Khalil Shakir and just ahead of players like Rickey Pearsall. Among rookie wideouts, he trailed Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, Makai Lemon, and KC Concepcion. Coming off a productive college career at Indiana, Cooper is currently projected as a bench WR in Fantasy formats, largely because he'll be competing with Garrett Wilson for targets in an offense that still has question marks.
The real surprise? Kenyon Sadiq, the Jets' 16th overall pick, didn't get drafted at all in this mock. Over 16 rounds and 160 picks, the talented tight end was left on the board. Tucker Kraft—coming off an ACL injury—was the last tight end selected. It's a head-scratcher for a first-round TE who should, in theory, be a valuable asset this season. But as we saw with Colston Loveland last year, rookie tight ends often need time to develop before making a Fantasy impact.
With Geno Smith now under center and a revamped offense, these rookies could surprise. But for now, Cooper holds the edge in early Fantasy projections, while Sadiq remains a wait-and-see prospect for savvy managers.
