The Atlanta Falcons have made it clear—they're stockpiling wide receivers this offseason. After snagging former Georgia standout Zachariah Branch in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the team has inked five more wideouts as undrafted free agents. That's nearly a third of their reported 16 UDFA signings, underscoring just how much of a priority this position was for Atlanta heading into draft weekend.
Continuing our spotlight on the Falcons' undrafted free agent class, let's take a closer look at former Miami wide receiver Keelan Marion—a player who took the long road to the NFL and might just have the skills to carve out a role in Atlanta.
Marion's college journey is a story of persistence. He started at Connecticut, where he posted 32 catches for 563 yards over two seasons, before transferring to BYU in 2021. Things didn't click immediately with the Cougars, but Marion kept grinding. His big break came in 2025 when he transferred to Miami and finally put it all together, recording a career-best 57 catches for 746 yards and two touchdowns. Over five collegiate seasons, he amassed 133 receptions, 1,871 yards, and nine scores.
What makes Marion especially intriguing for the Falcons is his versatility. Like several of Atlanta's other UDFA additions, he brings proven special teams value—he returned 50 career kicks for 1,174 yards and two touchdowns. He also showed he can be a weapon out of the backfield, rushing for 161 yards and five touchdowns over his final three seasons at BYU and Miami.
Listed at 6-foot, 195 pounds, Marion projects as a slot receiver at the next level. He's an above-average route runner with the quickness to turn short catches into big gains. Bleacher Report's Damian Parson praised his technical skills, noting that Marion "stems his routes well to attack angles and leverages" and is "adept at locating and working into the defender's blind spot."
If you need a reminder of his big-play potential, just look at his Fiesta Bowl performance: seven catches, 114 yards, and a touchdown. That's the kind of clutch production that could earn him a long look in Atlanta's training camp.
