Fabio Di Giannantonio is pushing Ducati for full backing as he negotiates his MotoGP future. The Italian rider has become a hot commodity following a strong start to the season.

Fabio Di Giannantonio is making a powerful statement on the track, and he's carrying that momentum straight to the negotiating table. The Italian rider, currently with the VR46 Racing Team, is reportedly pushing Ducati for a contract renewal that includes the coveted "full factory backing" – a level of support currently reserved for stars like Marc Marquez.

His demand is backed by a stunning start to the 2025 MotoGP season. 'Diggia' has notched two consecutive pole positions and a pair of podiums, unexpectedly leading the entire Ducati contingent in the championship standings after just three rounds. Sitting fourth overall and ahead of the reigning champion Marquez, this is already shaping up to be a career-defining year for the rider.

The stakes are high because of upcoming 2027 technical regulations. While all bikes will start the season equal, only riders with official factory ties will receive crucial in-season upgrades first. Di Giannantonio, who is directly contracted to Ducati, wants a guarantee of that A-list status to secure his competitive future.

His impressive form has turned him into one of the paddock's most sought-after free agents. Reports suggest as many as four teams are interested, with KTM showing persistent interest. Other potential destinations include Tech3, the newly-involved Trackhouse Racing, or even a move within the Ducati ecosystem to Pramac Racing.

For now, Di Giannantonio holds the cards. His speed has transformed him from a solid midfield runner into a front-runner demanding top-tier treatment, proving that in MotoGP, performance is the ultimate leverage.
