The Philadelphia Eagles have officially added eight undrafted free agents to their 90-man roster, the team announced on Friday. This wave of rookie signings brings fresh talent to the roster as the Eagles continue to build depth ahead of training camp.
The defensive backfield received a major boost with three new additions. Safety Kapena Gushiken arrives after a productive season at Ole Miss, where he started 12 games and recorded 55 tackles. His journey includes two seasons at Washington State before transferring, and interestingly, he'll be reunited with fellow safety Tucker Large, who stepped into the role Gushiken left behind at Washington State. Large tallied 71 tackles in 2025 and brings experience from South Dakota State before his own transfer.
Rounding out the safety group is Maximus Pulley from Wofford, who turned heads with an impressive final collegiate season featuring 85 tackles and five interceptions. The Eagles clearly prioritized strengthening their secondary with these versatile playmakers.
On the defensive side, the team also signed Alabama linebacker Deontae Lawson, a proven SEC competitor, and Arizona State defensive end Joshua Weru, adding edge-rushing potential. The offensive line gets a boost with Alabama guard Jaeden Roberts, while the special teams unit welcomes Florida long snapper Rocco Underwood. Finally, Ole Miss tight end Dae'Quan Wright provides another target in the passing game.
For Eagles fans, these undrafted rookies are the kind of hidden gems that often become key contributors. Whether you're stocking up on new Eagles gear for the season or just following roster moves, these signings signal a commitment to building from the ground up.
