Aberdeen head coach Stephen Robinson has hailed his squad's resilience after they answered their critics with two crucial victories. When Robinson took the helm last month, the Dons were mired in a relegation scrap, and his tenure started with a three-game winless streak that raised eyebrows.

However, back-to-back wins—and clean sheets—against Hibernian and Kilmarnock have transformed the mood at Pittodrie. With an eight-point cushion over second-bottom Kilmarnock and just four games remaining, Aberdeen have all but secured their Premiership status. But Robinson, who leads his side to bottom-club Livingston on Friday, isn't popping the champagne just yet.

"Before I came in, people questioned the character of this team week in, week out," said the former St Mirren boss. "What they've shown is that under intense pressure, they can rise to the occasion. Last week's 1-0 win over Kilmarnock wasn't our best performance—you could feel the nervous energy—but we handled it. Sometimes you have to grind out results, and we've done that in two very different ways."

The turnaround has injected positivity into the camp, but Robinson remains focused. "The players have been under a lot of pressure, so hopefully that's eased a bit, but we're certainly not 100% safe. My remit was to avoid a relegation battle, and until we're mathematically safe, nobody will be dropping standards here. We won't rest on our laurels."
