There's no denying that a fully healthy Jayson Tatum would have given Boston a fighting chance against the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. But the Celtics couldn't close the deal, and now they're left watching the Knicks sweep Philly in a lopsided second-round series.

Since the 2025-26 season came to an abrupt end, whispers of a blockbuster trade have been growing louder. According to 98.5 The Sports Hub's Colin Kennedy, the idea of swapping Jaylen Brown for Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry isn't as far-fetched as it sounds.

"This move is trending more towards fantasyland, but nonetheless, it's another blockbuster move that makes some real sense," Kennedy wrote. "To start, the contracts are comparable, and a one-for-one swap is possible, but more pieces would likely be included."

Let's be honest—even Warriors fans would admit that Golden State hasn't done right by Curry lately. The franchise has failed the four-time NBA champion, and it shows in their recent inability to contend for a title. Building a championship roster shouldn't be this hard, but the Warriors have made it look like rocket science with their questionable midseason and offseason moves.

That said, Curry isn't going anywhere unless he demands a trade—which feels highly unlikely. The Davidson product has spent all 17 years of his career with the Dubs and is expected to finish where it all started, after being selected with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2009 draft.

The Celtics are welcome to work their magic and try to pry Curry away from Golden State this summer. But don't hold your breath—this dream scenario probably stays in fantasyland.
