The Arizona Cardinals are making moves as they dive headfirst into rookie mini-camp, where this year's draft class joins a mix of free agents and tryout hopefuls. After first-round pick Jeremiyah Love inked his deal yesterday, the team has now signed three more promising talents from their 2025 draft haul.

On Friday, the Cardinals officially locked in fifth-round wide receiver Reggie Virgil, sixth-round linebacker Karson Sharar, and seventh-round offensive tackle Jayden Williams. These Day 3 selections are stepping into the league with standard rookie contracts—earning the league minimum plus signing bonuses, but without guaranteed salaries. Notably, their deals include "split contract" clauses, meaning if they land on injured reserve, their pay reduces for at least the first two years—a common safeguard for later-round picks.

Virgil, a Texas Tech product, enters a crowded receiver room boasting 12 players. A former basketball standout, he shined in junior college before posting 57 catches for 705 yards and six touchdowns last season, while logging heavy special teams duty. He's set to battle for the WR4 role, bringing athleticism and versatility to the mix.

Sharar, an Iowa defensive standout, is primed to bolster depth at a linebacker unit that's already solid with starters. Known for his speed and sure tackling—a glaring need after last year's missed tackle woes—he notched 83 tackles last season and excels against the run. Expect him to instantly upgrade punt and kickoff coverage teams, too.

Williams, projected as a fifth-round value, adds depth on the offensive line. Another hoops convert who chose football, he graded out as Ole Miss's top run-blocker (91.7) and pass-blocker (84.3) per Pro Football Focus. His ability to play both tackle spots gives the Cardinals valuable versatility up front.

With mini-camp in full swing, these signings signal a team building not just for today, but for the long haul—layering in competition and depth across the roster. For fans eyeing the next gear of Cardinals football, the foundation is taking shape.
