Caleb Wilson is turning heads across the basketball world, and it's not just his stats that have people talking. The North Carolina freshman and consensus second-team All-American recently earned a comparison from ESPN analyst Jay Williams that's sure to get fans buzzing.

Wilson put up impressive numbers this season, averaging 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks while shooting an efficient 57.8% from the field. He also set freshman program records for scoring average and 20-point games, notching 17 such performances. Projected as a top-five pick in the 2026 NBA draft, the 6-foot-10 forward has the kind of offensive versatility and defensive range that scouts dream about.

But it was Williams' take on "Get Up" that really turned heads. "When I first saw him this year, I was like, 'The bar is Jermaine O'Neal; the ceiling is Kevin Garnett,'" Williams said. "Now, when I watch him play, the bar seems like it is Kevin Garnett; the ceiling seems more like Giannis (Antetokounmpo). It feels like that's where his ceiling could be."

That's elite company for any prospect. Wilson thrives in the open court with the ball in his hands and dominates the paint with his athleticism and size. His reported 7-foot-1/4-inch wingspan gives him the physical tools to guard multiple positions at the next level—a must for today's NBA.

Of course, Wilson's season wasn't without setbacks. A broken left hand suffered in a February loss to Miami limited him to just 24 games, and a broken right thumb during a March practice—sustained while dunking, no less—ended his season early. But even with those injuries, his stock remains sky-high.

As draft day approaches, teams will be lining up for a chance to land a player with that kind of potential.
