Denzel Boston has clearly stated who he is. Two days into the 2026 NFL Draft, the Browns' second-round selection spoke with Cleveland media and emphasized his approach to playing football, which was not especially affectionate.
"My main objective when facing a defender is to ensure he doesn't return home feeling satisfied being with his family. I wish for him to experience that from the game. That's the mindset I'm bringing to the Cleveland Browns." Boston said.
Cleveland picked him 39th overall on Friday, just a night after selecting wide receiver KC Concepcion in the initial round.
The Browns' receiving corps has been a trouble spot, and Boston's skill set provides them with an alternative choice.

Standing at 6'3" and weighing 212 pounds, he’s an ex-Washington Huskie.
He is not a burner by combine standards. His route refinement and readiness to make difficult catches in crowded situations are what scouts consistently highlighted about him in their assessments.

At Washington, he topped the Huskies in receptions during his last two seasons. In 2025, he concluded with 62 receptions for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns, receiving third-team All-Big Ten recognition.
His PFF receiving score reached a career-high of 87.2, and his yards per route run recorded 2.44, marking the peak of his college career.
Currently, Jerry Jeudy is at the forefront of Cleveland's receiving corps. He and Concepcion are added to drive the group towards greater credibility.
