This pick from the Broncos was a massive steal.

The Denver Broncos entered the 2026 NFL Draft without a first-round pick and a limited number of selections overall—but they made every Day 3 pick count. Among their late-round haul, one name stands out as a potential steal: running back Jonah Coleman, taken at No. 108 overall in the fourth round.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Broncos had an early third-round grade on Coleman, valuing him in the range of picks 65 to 75. That means they landed a player they ranked roughly 40 spots higher than where they actually drafted him—a massive value grab in the middle rounds.

"Denver ranked him as an early third-rounder on its board and classified his character as an A-plus," Fowler reported.

Coleman, a Washington product, fills a clear need for the Broncos. With uncertainty surrounding running backs J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey, Denver needed depth and upside in the backfield. Coleman brings both, along with an intriguing skill set at 5-foot-8 that makes him one of the more exciting prospects in this year's running back class.

While he may not immediately take over the starting role, Coleman's high character marks and explosive playmaking ability make him a perfect complementary back. The Broncos, who made just one pick before Day 3 due to the Jaylen Waddle trade, clearly targeted Coleman as their first selection of the final day—and they got a player who could outperform his draft slot for years to come.

In a draft where Denver had to maximize every opportunity, landing an early third-round talent in the fourth round is exactly the kind of move that builds championship depth.
