The Buffalo Bills might have already addressed their edge-rusher needs in the 2026 NFL Draft with the selection of T.J. Parker, but they're not done yet. The team recently hosted former Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Mike Danna for a free-agent visit, signaling they're still looking to bolster their pass rush.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Danna's visit to One Bills Drive comes after six productive seasons in Kansas City. The 29-year-old, who turns 29 in December, was a fifth-round pick out of Michigan in 2020 and has since racked up 21.5 sacks and 194 tackles in his NFL career.

What makes Danna particularly interesting for Buffalo is his history against them. While his overall career pressure rate sits at 8.1%, that number jumps to 10% in nine games against the Bills. If you remove his rookie season outing in 2020, that rate climbs even higher to 11.2%. Danna was especially disruptive in the 2024 AFC Championship game, generating four pressures on just 17 pass-rush opportunities—a staggering 23.5% rate.

At 6'2" and 260 pounds, Danna isn't a flashy superstar but rather a reliable, rotational power end who can step up in big moments. He's also proven to be a dependable run defender, maintaining a missed-tackle rate under 10% in each of the past three seasons—a key benchmark for defensive linemen.

If signed, Danna would provide a solid, experienced floor for Buffalo's edge-rusher room, serving as quality depth behind Greg Rousseau and Bradley Chubb, alongside Michael Hoecht. For a team with Super Bowl aspirations, adding a proven playoff performer like Danna could be the kind of under-the-radar move that pays off big when the stakes are highest.
